Accepting New Clients
Samuel is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), practicing at Zormin Counselling and Psychotherapy in Mississauga. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from York University and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
Samuel is a Certified Trauma-Informed Therapist who helps clients explore how past traumatic experiences may have led to adaptive coping mechanisms that are no longer helpful in managing present-day challenges. He supports clients in understanding how adverse life events may contribute to anxiety, depression, interpersonal difficulties, emotion dysregulation, trauma, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
His therapeutic work is grounded in a pluralistic, client-centered approach. Samuel has an extensive background in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), helping individuals of all ages with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) develop foundational social and emotional regulation skills through play-based therapy. He is certified in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and integrates techniques from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Somatic Experiencing Therapy. Samuel also incorporates psychoeducation based on neuroscience, helping clients understand brain neuroplasticity and neurocircuitry, and how these impact thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.
Recognizing the uniqueness of every client, Samuel creates individualized treatment plans tailored to each person’s goals. He offers a trauma-informed, empathetic, culturally sensitive, and safe therapeutic space where clients can feel physically, emotionally, and psychologically supported. Samuel works with children (ages 4+), adolescents, adults (18–64), and older adults (65+), and can incorporate brainspotting therapy upon request.
Samuel is fluent in English and Tagalog.
His rate is $160 for a 50-minute individual session.
